Minds Matter Los Angeles has initiated a new partnership with a unique company that meshes commerce with an exemplary mission. Washington State-based GLDN is a handcrafted jewelry company with a commitment to giving back. Founder Chrissy Lavdovsky believes in “being good as well as looking good” through GLDN’s accessories. A portion of profits goes to causes that change the world, including Shepherd’s Counseling Services, National Immigration Law Center, Global Fund for Women, Running Start, and now—Minds Matter.
“We want to create change in a variety of ways, including giving back to causes that our employees and customers feel particularly passionate about,” Lavdovsky has said.
Recently, one of those customers, our own Alexa Almazan, Director of Development and Donor Engagement at Minds Matter LA, reached out. “I contacted the company to make them aware of what we do here at Minds Matter, the unique approach we take to transform the lives that will ultimately transform our world, and shared why our mission is in alignment with GLDN’s commitment of giving back,” Alexa said. “They agreed and we are grateful for their partnership and generosity!”
From its beginnings as a small shop on the artisanal website Etsy in 2012, GLDN has gone from a one-woman show to a team of over 60 people. This team custom-handcrafts bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings in 14K gold fill, rose gold fill, sterling silver and solid gold, with prices ranging from $20 to $500.
